| How it all began.... well, we wont go that far
back!! The company originated in 1962 in the garage of William and Marilyn Patterson's home at which time was known as Patt's Paper Specialties. In 1984, the company changed names to Shoreline Container to better reflect their operations. Today, Shoreline Container remains a privately owned company held by Brent and Bruce Patterson, sons of William and Marilyn Patterson who are now retired. From the time Patt's Paper Specialties originated to the first twenty-two years of business the company made only interior dividers or partitions for other corrugated box manufacturers. In 1984, Shoreline Container began producing their own corrugated boxes to compliment their existing product lines. In 1977, Shoreline Container moved to it's current location in Holland, Michigan, utilizing 8,000 square feet for operations. Today, the organization occupies 205,000 Sq. feet of office, manufacturing, and warehouse space. In addition to the Holland location, in 1995 Shoreline Container acquired Eagle Container in Traverse City, Michigan. Then, in 1996, Shoreline Container took ownership/partnership in Midcorr L.L.C., a privately owned co-op corrugating facility, located in South Bend, Indiana. The primary success and growth of Shoreline Container is a result of being customer driven, not only reacting quickly to the needs of the market, but also striving to satisfy our customers by meeting and exceeding their expectations. An example of meeting and exceeding our customers expectations: The office furniture industry began demanding exact quantity shipments with short lead times without warehouse space. Shoreline reacted to meet those customer needs by introducing a RiteSize machine that can produce 1 to 50 pieces on demand. Shoreline Container prides itself on being reliable to our customers requests whether the job is low or high volume. This is accomplished through quality plus delivery, and our commitment to 100% On Time, Customer Focus, and a Quality System. |
